 Essentials of Ayurveda at Tula Yoga in Aberdeen, NJ

Learn the essentials of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is often called the sister science to yoga and they are considered complimentary practices. While yoga focuses on purifying the body and mind, Ayurveda focuses on healing and maintaining the health and balance of the body and mind. Learn the essentials of Ayurveda as a holistic health model. No previous experience required, all levels welcome. In this workshop: -learn basics of Ayurveda -identify your unique constitution (your dosha) -learn how to keep the body in balance through diet and lifestyle -learn about the traditional Ayurvedic cleanse Please bring the following with you: -notebook and pen - pair of old socks -comfortable clothing 

Optional: Spring Ayurvedic Cleanse According to Ayurveda , the best time to cleanse is during Spring and Fall. If you would like to participate in this very gentle cleanse you will have the option to learn more during the workshop. The ayurvedic cleanse will consist of a simple, deeply nourishing mono-diet. For those new to the practice, it is a gentle digestive reset. This cleanse consists of eating three Ayurvedic meals a day. Recipes and where to find ingredients are included. You will also be part of a support Facebook group.

Our intentions are more powerful when we share them with others. Come together as a community of empowered individuals ready to se their intentions for a transformative New Year.  Join Denise Vernieri for a special 2 hour new moon intention setting class that concludes with yoga nidra. The structure is part movement, inquiry and ceremony.   It will conclude with yoga nidra.  This special class is open to everyone.

FAQ:
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga nidra is, a on a physical level, a method of moving into deeper states of relaxation. However, on a deeper level, it is a profound way to access and reshape the unconscious. You may think of it as being in between conscious and unconscious, sleep and awake. Through a systematic guided meditation, you are invited to go within, and cultivate an increased self-awareness that paves the path for you to connect to your true nature. Pat of the meditation is setting an intention or sankalpa as it is called on yoga. Yoga nidra is a beautiful, simple practice that anyone can do. There is no right or wrong way to. All that is required is to lay down, relax and receive the gift that is yoga nidra.
